Poros Village
Poros is an attractive coastal settlement located 40 km southwest of Argostoli. Built around a marvelous landscape of lush green forests, Poros is also home to a picturesque port that serves itineraries to Kyllini (Peloponnese).
Poros stands as the largest district within the newly formed Elios-Pronnoi municipality, a charming and picturesque village nestled amidst Tzanata, Asprogerakas, Kabitsata, and Riza. With a population of 1500 inhabitants, its port serves as a crucial link connecting Kefalonia to mainland Greece. Rebuilt following the devastating earthquake of 1953, Poros emerged anew, its harmonious layout gracing the foothills of the Pahi and Atros mountains. The seafront stretches along a vast, intricately indented coastline spanning 2 kilometers, adorned with sandy beaches and sheltered coves.
